I'll save my 75k honor and badges for S2. I got points with an rated 3v3 team, the calculators appear to be wrong - the wiki says there was the new formula implemented in september so presumably season 1 used a different formula and could be the case in classic season 1 as well? Best hope that stuff isn't reset before then. The arena points calculator doesnt work at all.
My arena points i get in wow was different too from what it was shown on calculator. If you get so little points from winning, why would you spend it on the arena weapons? It's much easier to craft one or do Karazhan. Right now it seems you need to do over month of arena to even get a weapon.
I think you're on to something. Ranked Arenas will take the fast-paced combat of the new mode and crank it up to 11, with a lot more on the line for losses. Ranked Arenas functions similarly to its battle royale counterpart, but it has a few twists of its own. Ranked Arenas will use two different measures of skill: rank and an underlying MMR. The former is the visible rating that ranges from Bronze to Apex Predator, while the latter is a hidden statistic that determines the matchups in Arenas.
Once you have your team of 2, 3, or 5 players ready, you can queue for arenas by talking to an Arena Battlemaster. All Arena Teams begin at 0 team rating and must climb their way through the ranks. Communication and coordination is key! In Season 1, certain PvP items will have personal rating requirements to purchase in addition to their Arena point cost. The rating requirements are as follows:. Arena points—the currency required to purchase Arena gear—are awarded during the weekly reset and are based on the team that earned the most points.
Once you earn Arena points, various vendors will make their wares available to you. At the end of each Arena season, eligible players get rewards based on their rating.
In addition, recipients of the Infernal Gladiator and Gladiator titles will also receive a Swift Nether Drake mount—an extremely fast flying mount only available during Season 1.
Players will need to win at least 50 games to qualify for a seasonal reward. Once a season has ended and a new one begins, the previous season's Arena gear can be purchased without the requirement of a specific rating.
